The Positive: It may not be as good as the original, but “Despicable Me 2″ offers something new to the table by introducing a love interest to Steve Carell’s character Gru. Also, the minions steal the show by delivering big laughs from beginning to end credits.

The 3D effects are astonishing.

The Negative: There are a number of pointless subplots that you will probably miss because of the charming minions.

Memorable Line: “You really should announce your weapons, after you fire them. For example, lipstick taser!”

Tag Line: “When the world needed a hero, they called a villain.”
