Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have revealed new character posters of “300: Rise of an Empire” the prequel to the 2006 blockbuster, “300.”

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel “Xerxes” and told in the breathtaking visual style of “300” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield – on the sea – as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.

They will fight against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

Directed by Noam Murro. “300 Rise of an Empire” hit theaters on March 2014.

(TV) Tom Rodriguez explained his character far from his personality in real life.

Kapuso actors Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez may be sweet on screen in their primetime series on GMA-7 “My Husband’s Lover” where they portray as gay secret lovers, but they are not turned on by each other in real life.

In an interview with Tom during a recent mall show in Imus, Cavite, the actor told GMANetwork.com that every time he does a scene with Dennis, he puts himself in the shoes of his character, Vincent, a closet bisexual.

Tom explained that since his character in the series is far from his personality in real life, he motivates himself to act based on the experiences that Vincent had gone through in the story and so, even if the scene is intimate, he doesn’t have to be “turned on” by his co-star.

“Nag-usap kami ni Dennis na kailangan mag-show through na mahal namin ang isa’t isa as Vincent and Eric kasi sa totoong buhay friends lang talaga kami. ‘Yun ang challenge namin: na we have to transcend ourselves at hindi yung mga sarili ang isipin namin kundi ang mga characters namin,” shared Tom.

Tom also commented on CBCP’s (Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines) reaction to their show.

“Every one is entitled to his own opinion naman e. Criticism is OK with us. Sa amin naman kasi we’re just trying to entertain the audience and show this love story,” Tom reasoned.

“Actually kung titignan mo ‘yung storya ng ‘My Husband’s Lover,’ makikita mo na hindi talaga naka-focus ito sa homosexual/heterosexual affairs kundi sa isang love story na nangyayari talaga sa totoong buhay, regardless of gender,” added the actor.

My Husband’s Lover” is Tom’s first project after he transferred from ABS-CBN to GMA Network. He admitted that, as a newbie, he did not set his hopes too high that his first project would be a really big break for him.  For Tom, the success of “My Husband’s Lover” was a pleasant surprise, something that he will always thank the heavens – and GMA Network, for that matter – for.

“My Husband’s Lover” airs from Monday to Friday after “Mundo Mo’y Akin” (approx. 9:30pm) on GMA-7.
